Built in 1861 by Waltus Watkins, this mill produced yarn and cloth intermittently until about 1900 when it was shut down intact. The building and machinery are now part of the Missouri state park system in Lawson, in northwest Missouri. The owner's house, a church, school and other buildings are also in the park.
